SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted!

Location: Lancaster

Position Type: Full-Time Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: September

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who need additional support to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN

Assist the class teacher in creating inclusive learning environments

Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies

Encourage and support students to develop confidence, independence, and self-esteem

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet students' needsWe're Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH)

Is patient, nurturing, and flexible in their approach

Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff, students, and families

Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
