Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wood Green, N22 8HH

Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Start Date: ASAP

Daily Pay: £90 – £105

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? An outstanding Special Needs School in Wood Green is looking for a proactive, confident, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

About the School in Wood Green:

A well-established SEN school supporting pupils aged 4–18 years

Caters to a variety of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and Learning Difficulties

Small class sizes of 8–12 pupils for more focused support

Emphasises a child-centred, inclusive approach to learning

Role Overview of SEN TA:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work 1:1 with a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Provide both academic and emotional support in and out of the classroom

Implement strategies tailored to the individual needs of the pupil

Collaborate with teaching staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

What We’re Looking From a SEN TA:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD

A confident, proactive personality who can take initiative

Excellent communication skills and a nurturing attitude

A passion for working in special education and helping young learners succeed
