Location: Stratford–upon–Avon and surrounding areas

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full–Time

Contract: Temporary

Salary: 95 to 110 per day (depending on experience)

SEN Teaching Assistant Required – Stratford–upon–Avon

Hays Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full–time, temporary basis within mainstream primary schools across Stratford–upon–Avon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Worker who is passionate about helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential in an inclusive school environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groupsAssist children with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsEncourage engagement, participation and positive learning behavioursWork closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategiesHelp create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environmentSupport pupils both inside and outside the classroom

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in schools or a similar settingA patient, caring and proactive approachStrong communication and relationship–building skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a school teamRelevant qualifications are desirable but not essentialEnhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
