Aspire People are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary specialist provision in Bolton. This role offers the chance to work with children who have a range of mild to complex needs, including global delay, autism, and non–verbal communication, providing essential support and encouragement in their learning and development.

About the Role:

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bolton, BL1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract: Full–time, until July

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one–to–one and small group support for children with a range of needs, including global delay, autism, and those who are non–verbal.

Assist in delivering personalised learning activities, helping children build communication, social, and cognitive skills.

Help create and maintain a safe and inclusive space for children, promoting positive behaviour and independence.

About You:

Experience working with children with special educational needs in a specialist setting is ideal, mainstream is considered.

Familiarity with working with children who have autism, global delay, and non–verbal communication.

Compassionate, patient, and proactive, with the ability to adapt your approach to suit each child's individual needs.

Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with the HLTA and other TAs to meet the needs of each child.
