About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school in Stechford, supporting a small group of children with autism in their Resource Base.

This is a 2 Day a Week position of a Thursday & Friday on going forward and reviewed term by term – perfect for someone seeking flexibility while still making a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting a small selection of children with autism in a calm, structured setting

Assisting with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation strategies

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support

Creating a safe, supportive space where every child can flourish

What We’re Looking For

A caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual

Experience working with children with autism or additional needs is desirable

A team player with excellent communication skills

Someone who brings positivity, empathy, and reliability every Friday!

The Details

Location: Stechford (Birmingham)

Setting: Primary school resource base

Hours: 2 Day a week position of a Thursday & Friday (school day 8.30am - 3.30pm)

Start Date: October 2025

Contract Type: Ongoing, part-time
