Protocol Education is working with a range of specialist SEN schools and provisions across Bristol, offering opportunities for dedicated teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their potential.

We are looking for patient, adaptable and enthusiastic SEN Teachers who can create engaging, inclusive learning environments and tailor their teaching to meet individual needs.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND.

Support pupils across different abilities and learning needs.

Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual needs.

Support pupils with Autism, SEMH, MLD, communication needs and complex learning needs.

Work towards individual EHCP targets and monitor pupil progress.

Develop positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence and independence.

Manage behaviour using appropriate and consistent strategies.

Assess learning and provide constructive feedback.

Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists and wider support teams.

Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

UK QTS or recognised teaching qualification.

Recent experience teaching in a UK SEN/SEND setting.

Strong understanding of individual learning needs and differentiation.

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, SEMH, MLD or complex needs.

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.

Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.

Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
