SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Bedford
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
PAY: £85 - £100
SEN Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in a welcoming and supportive school environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is patient, caring, and passionate about helping pupils with special educational needs reach their full potential.
The Role:
*
Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN
*
Supporting learning activities tailored to individual needs
*
Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and social development
*
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies
*
Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or school setting
*
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Desirable (but not essential):
*
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
*
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
*
Knowledge of SEN strategies or interventions
