Milk Education is working closely with a nurturing primary school iin the Ashington area to find an enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, patient, and ready to help pupils thrive in and out of the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs (including Autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties).
* Working alongside teachers to tailor lessons and activities to individual pupils.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping children develop social and emotional skills.
* Supporting the delivery of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
* Liaising with SENCOs, families, and external professionals to ensure joined-up support.
What We’re Looking For:
* A kind, patient, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for SEN support.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Experience in a school or SEN setting is a bonus—but not essential!
* Someone who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff alike.
* A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved.
