English Teacher (KS3–KS4) SEMH Setting Chessington

Are you a passionate English Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

At Veritas Education, we are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Chessington seeking a committed and resilient English Teacher to join their team, delivering across KS3–KS4 (Entry Level to Level 1).

The Role

You will be teaching English to small groups of students within a supportive SEMH environment, where relationship–building and consistency are key. The role involves:

Delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3–KS4Supporting students working at Entry Level through to Level 1Managing behaviour positively using a trauma–informed approachPromoting literacy, communication, and confidence in learnersWorking closely with support staff and senior leadership

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience teaching English across KS3 and/or KS4Strong understanding of SEMH, SEN or alternative provision settingsAbility to engage and re–motivate learners with barriers to educationConfident classroom management and a calm, consistent approachA genuine passion for supporting young people's developmentApplications are welcome from both QTS and non–QTS teachers with relevant experience.
