SEN & Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: Brent, West London

Start Date: ASAP Start

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN & Behaviour Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a mainstream primary school in Brent. This supportive, three form entry mainstream school welcomes pupils of all abilities and offers a nurturing environment for learning and growth. The school provides strong career progression opportunities for staff.

This role focuses on supporting pupils with SEN, helping manage behaviour, and delivering sensory play-based activities to aid learning, engagement, and personal development.

The Role:

* Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN or additional needs

* Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement

* Deliver sensory play-based interventions to support learning and regulation

* Support access to the curriculum and learning activities

* Assist with personal care or mobility needs if required

* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

* Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social skills

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience supporting SEN pupils in nursery or primary settings in the UK

* Confident in using PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools

* Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach xjnqpsq

* Confident in delivering sensory and play-based learning activities

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
