SEMH Teaching Assistant - Secondary PRU - 1:1 Support - September 2026

Greenwich

GBP100 - GBP120 per day

We're excited to be working with a Secondary PRU in Greenwich, who are looking to welcome a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to their supportive team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic full-time, long-term opportunity running until July 2027, making it ideal for experienced SEMH/SEN Learning Support Assistants as well as graduates looking to build a rewarding career in education.

The Role

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to pupils both in and out of the classroom.Working 1:1 and with small groups to encourage positive learning and behaviour.Building strong, trusting relationships with children to support their emotional wellbeing.Working closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to create a positive learning environment.Celebrating every achievement, no matter how big or small.We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH and/or SEN, orAre enthusiastic graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience.Are patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.Are passionate about helping children succeed both academically and personally.What's On Offer?
