Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role The Education Network is currently recruiting for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in the BD7 area of Bradford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide both one-to-one and small-group support, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs, possess strong behaviour management skills, and have a nurturing, patient approach.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Help implement individual behaviour and learning plans.
Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation and confidence.
Promote positive behaviour and provide a calm, consistent presence in the classroom.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.Requirements
Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
A patient, caring and resilient approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEMH-specific training) are desirable but not essential.Why Work with The Education Network?
