Prospero Teaching is working closely with Schools in the South Tyneside Area to provide specialist, one–to–one tuition and SEMH support for local students. We are currently recruiting qualified Tutors to deliver English and Maths tuition to students who may need additional support to achieve their potential.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Tutors to support students who may be experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges. Many learners may not be fully engaged with mainstream education and benefit from personalised tuition that combines academic support with SEMH strategies.

Tuition is delivered in person, which may take place in:

Deliver one–to–one or small–group tuition in Maths and EnglishProvide SEMH support alongside academic tuitionPlan and deliver personalised lessons to meet individual learning needsTrack progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and familiesCreate a positive, supportive learning environment to build confidenceComplete attendance records and progress reports

To Be Eligible, You Must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Have experience supporting students with SEMH needsHave the right to work in the UKHold an enhanced DBS (child barred list) registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for oneBe able to provide references covering the last two years of employment or educationApply Now
