Secondary Teaching Assistant - SEN Department - Camden

Full Time | Term Time Only | ASAP Start

Up to £115 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)

Long Term Futures are recruiting a motivated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join the SEN department within a secondary school in Camden, providing targeted support to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This role involves supporting pupils across a range of subjects, helping them access learning, build confidence, and make progress in the classroom. It is an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education, SEN, or teaching before progressing into further training or a long-term education career.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-class and small-group support across KS3 and KS4

Work closely with the SEN department to support students with additional needs

Support learning across a range of secondary subjects

Assist with differentiation and adaptation of learning materials

Help maintain a positive, inclusive and focused classroom environment

Build strong relationships that support engagement and progress

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with young people or in an educational setting (desirable)

A strong interest in education, SEN or teaching

A patient, proactive and adaptable approach

Confidence working in a secondary school environment

Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice

Graduate background preferred (any discipline considered)
