Class Teacher - Middlesbrough

We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Middlesbrough seeking enthusiastic and motivated teachers to join their teams from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people, deliver engaging lessons, and help students achieve their academic potential across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

About the Role:

Teaching students aged 11-19 across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.

Assessing, monitoring and recording students' progress and attainment.

Differentiating teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners.

Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.Pay, Hours and Contract:

Pay: £160 - £200 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Middlesbrough Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

A recognised PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.

Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting.

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to motivate, inspire and engage students of varying abilities.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Right to work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
