Salary: £25,951 - £27,733 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

Clarence Recruitment are seeking a reliable and proactive Science Technician to support the Science department in a secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in science education to play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the department.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to prepare practical lessons, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure a safe and well-organised learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare equipment, materials, and resources for science lessons

Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Maintain, clean, and safely store laboratory equipment

Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

Support teachers and students during practical activities

Requirements

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have:

Experience working in a school science department or laboratory environment (desirable)

A background or qualification in a science-related subject (desirable)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a laboratory setting

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
