Are you an experienced Science Technician ready for your next opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Manchester to recruit a dedicated Science Technician to join their team from September.

This is a full-time, term-time only position offering a daily rate of £100, ideal for someone with a strong background in laboratory work who is eager to support hands-on science education.

About the Role:

As a Science Technician, you will be an essential part of the Science Department, supporting the preparation and delivery of practical lessons across KS3 and KS4. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing, setting up and maintaining scientific equipment and materials for experiments.

Providing technical support during practical lessons.

Ensuring laboratories meet health and safety standards at all times.

Safely storing and disposing of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Keeping track of stock and ordering resources when needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous laboratory experience - either in an educational or scientific setting (this is a requirement).

Be confident with handling equipment, chemicals and following health & safety guidelines.

Be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Have a flexible, team-focused approach to supporting the science department.

Please note: Only candidates with prior laboratory experience will be considered.
