Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Contract: Long–Term (with the potential to become permanent)

Pay: GBP165 GBP245 per day (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: 8:00am 4:00pm Full–Time

Position Overview

An Ofsted–rated Good secondary school located near the beautiful New Forest in Southampton is seeking a Science Teacher to join their supportive and forward–thinking department.

This full–time role will begin as soon as possible or from January 2026 and offers a long–term contract with the strong potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

You ll have the opportunity to inspire curiosity and achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4, working alongside an experienced and collaborative team dedicated to delivering engaging and inclusive Science lessons.

What You ll Be Doing

Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, differentiating for a range of abilities.Planning and delivering engaging, hands–on lessons that bring Science to life.Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback.Creating a positive, respectful, and inquisitive classroom environment.Contributing to departmental planning, resources, and whole–school initiatives. A qualified Science teacher with UK QTS (or working towards QTS).Experience teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.Strong classroom management and communication skills.A passion for Science and for inspiring young learners.A commitment to maintaining high standards and safeguarding.
