School Administrator

Role Responsibilities

As School Administrator, you will provide a warm welcome for parents, visitors and colleagues, while supporting the smooth running of the school through reception, administration and attendance duties.

Key responsibilities include:

Answering calls, welcoming visitors and managing school correspondence

Maintaining calendars, records, filing systems and school information

Supporting meetings, including scheduling and minute taking

Assisting the head teacher, school management team and education staff

Supporting attendance processes, registers, reports and parent/carer communication

Managing resources, post, deliveries, ID cards and school diary arrangements

Using SIMS and other IT systems accurately

Supporting safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection processesRequirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisation, time management and prioritisation skills

Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices

Experience of developing systems and processes

Excellent understanding of SIMS

Ability to relate well to children and adults

Able to work as part of a team and use own initiative
