Weekend Residential Officer

Part‑time opportunity – ideal for supplementing your full‑time role or seeking flexible weekend work

We’re seeking a reliable and engaging individual to join a highly rated college residential team. You will work Saturday and Sunday, 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, supporting and supervising students living in college residences.

You will:

Support and supervise students in the college residences, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.

Supervise a programme of social and sporting activities during evenings and weekends, encouraging student participation and engagement.

Monitor the condition and care of student residential, sporting, and social accommodation, reporting any concerns or maintenance needs.

Patrol the college campus and accommodation buildings, working effectively with the college security personnel to maintain a safe environment.

Maintain acceptable standards of student behaviour outside the normal timetabled day, promoting a respectful and inclusive community.

What’s on offer?

Weekend work: Saturday & Sunday, 9.00 am – 6.00 pm.

Hourly rate: £13.74 per hour.

Annual leave entitlement: 33 days per year (pro‑rata for part‑time).

Pension: 20% employer pension contribution in line with sector norms.

About you:

You are committed to the active encouragement and promotion of equity, diversity and inclusion.

You have experience of making a difference to young people and/or vulnerable adults by being a trusted and respected individual.

You are confident, empathetic, and able to respond calmly to incidents and emergencies.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive, approachable attitude.

You have experience working with confidential information, demonstrating discretion and professionalism.
