TeacherActive is currently seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher for a long–term role in a secondary school in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for consistency, strong departmental support, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought–provoking Religious Education lessons, helping students explore different beliefs, cultures, and ethical perspectives while encouraging critical thinking and respectful discussion.

The role: Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Assessing and monitoring student progress

Creating a positive and respectful classroom environment

Working collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school team

This role could be ideal if you: Hold QTS or are an ECT

Have experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level

Are confident delivering engaging and well–structured lessons

Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills

Are passionate about encouraging discussion, reflection, and understanding of different beliefs and values

Are looking for a long–term role within a supportive school environment
