Reception / Year 1 Teacher - Long-term, temporary and ongoing, full-time starting September 2026Here is a Church of England primary academy catering for pupils aged 3–11, located in Thetford and part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Duties as Reception/Year 1 Teacher:

Deliver engaging lessons across Reception and Year 1

Support pupils' transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1

Create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment

Plan and deliver creative learning experiences in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum

Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress

Foster children's social, emotional, and academic development

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parentsIdeal Reception/Year 1 Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1

Strong understanding of child development and early learning

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning opportunities

Passion for supporting young children to achieve their full potential

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
