Primary Teaching Assistant - Level 2/3

Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience working in UK primary schools? Do you have a passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Aspire People are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across primary schools. We are looking for candidates who hold a Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE qualification, or an equivalent recognised Teaching Assistant qualification, and who have proven experience working within UK schools.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and pastorally. You may work alongside the class teacher, provide targeted one-to-one support, or work with small groups of pupils.

Your responsibilities may include:

* Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities.

* Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and develop key skills.

* Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEN, adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.

* Supporting pupils with additional learning, communication, behavioural or emotional needs.

* Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

* Assisting with classroom preparation and maintaining a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

* Supporting pupils with their literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.

* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils to follow school expectations.

* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.

* Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher where appropriate.

* Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime where required.

* Helping create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

* Following individual education, behaviour and support plans where appropriate.

* Promoting positive relationships with pupils and encouraging them to engage with their learning.

* Supporting pupils who may require additional reassurance, structure or encouragement throughout the school day.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

* A Level 2 or Level 3 CACHE Teaching Assistant qualification, or an equivalent recognised TA qualification.

* Previous experience working within UK primary schools.

* Proven experience supporting children with SEN.

* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.

* The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

* A patient, caring and encouraging approach.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* The ability to work effectively alongside teachers and wider school staff.

* A good understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe.

* Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude.

* The ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils.

Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, behavioural needs, learning difficulties or other additional needs would be highly beneficial.
