Job Opportunity: Qualified Teaching Assistants - Secondary Schools

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in secondary education? We are currently recruiting qualified TAs to support students across a range of secondary schools in Accrington.

Position: Teaching Assistant (Secondary School)

Location: Various schools across Accrington

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons

Support students with varying needs, including SEN

Promote positive behaviour and engagement

Help with classroom management and preparation of resources

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
