Description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEND Support.

Location: Bury.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:30, Term Time Only.

Salary: From 106 per day, DOE.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children with additional needs within mainstream primary schools. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and has a passion for ensuring every child can access learning in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language delays, and challenging behaviour.Adapt lessons and create personalised resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all pupils.Support pupils during classroom activities, as well as during breaks and transitions outside the classroom.Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to implement support plans effectively.Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence, helping children to thrive academically and socially.About You:

We are looking for someone with:

A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with children who have SEND.A strong understanding of strategies to support children with a range of additional needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards supporting individual needs.How To Apply:
