Part-Time QTS Tutor (Maths & English) - Anglesey

Location: Anglesey, North Wales

Start Date: April 2026 (After Easter Half Term)

Hourly Rate: £25 - £30 per hour

Hours: Part-time, approx. 20 hours per week (within school hours)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QTS Tutor to provide high‑quality Maths and English tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across the Anglesey area. This is a rewarding part‑time role ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about helping learners build confidence, develop core skills, and make meaningful academic progress.

The position involves delivering structured, personalised lessons during school hours (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) to students who require additional support in a 1:1 or small‑group setting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored Maths and English tuition to SEN learners during school hours.

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.

Track and record student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.

Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and support teams to ensure consistent provision.

Develop personalised learning plans that support both academic and personal development.

Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months of UK experience working with children or young people with SEN.

Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English.

Confident in delivering structured, student‑centred lessons.

Availability for at least 3 days per week within school hours.

Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.

A compassionate, learner‑focused approach with the ability to inspire and engage.

Additional Information

Part‑time role averaging 20 hours per week.

Hourly rate: £25 to £30 per hour.

Tutoring takes place between 9 AM and 3 PM.

Full safeguarding and vetting checks are required prior to starting.
