Location: London (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about education and sustainability? Our client, a leading institution in the education sector, is seeking a dedicated Programme Manager to oversee key initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience and aligning with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment: Ensure all initiatives related to Space, Net Zero/Sustainability, and the Library Masterplan align with the institutional strategy and academic priorities. Scope projects thoroughly to confirm alignment with long–term objectives and integrate benefits across programmes to maximise value.Governance & Accountability: Establish and manage governance structures for programmes and projects, oversee decision–making processes impacting the Capital budget, ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability requirements, and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.Planning & Delivery: Develop and maintain detailed project plans for each initiative, manage dependencies across projects, and oversee third–party consultancy to deliver masterplans. Prioritise works within budget constraints, ensuring a benefits–driven approach.Risk & Issue Management: Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks across all programmes, establish escalation pathways for critical risks, and ensure proactive management of changes to processes.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, engage external stakeholders to ensure compliance, and facilitate student focus groups to embed co–creation in initiatives. Communicate progress and outcomes clearly to the community.Benefits Realisation: Define and track KPIs and measurable benefits for each initiative, aligning them with the wider Capital programme. Capture lessons learned to promote continuous improvement.What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in managing sustainability and/or space–related programmes.APM PMQ or other recognised programme/project management qualification.Practical experience in supporting and managing programmes from inception through to delivery, with a track record of resolving issues as they arise.Knowledge of programme/project governance structures, particularly related to sustainability and space management.Experience producing reports, schedules, specifications, and planning documentation within a complex business environment.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience influencing and negotiating at all levels.Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi–disciplinary team.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, adapt to changing situations, and meet deadlines.Why Join Us?
