Position: Primary Teaching Assistant

* Location: Oldham

* Contract Type: Long-term, Term-time only

* Start Date: January 2026

* Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

* Rate of Pay: £95.29 - £110.00 per day (DOE)About the School:

Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a supportive school environment?

We are working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Oldham, supporting pupils across the primary age range. The school provides a positive and inclusive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Some pupils may have additional learning needs or SEN, giving you the opportunity to offer meaningful, tailored support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils' learning in the classroom through structured activities.

* Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis where required.

* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.

* Support pupils with SEN or additional learning needs as required.

* Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional development.

* Help create a safe, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.Requirements:

Experience working with children in a primary school, early years, or childcare setting is desirable.

* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* A willingness to support pupils with SEN or additional needs.

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils' wellbeing and development.TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:

* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply
