Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield- S13

Salary Range: £86 -£100 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Time: Immediate

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school located in Sheffield (S13). This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.

Role Overview:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial classroom support across various subjects, helping to deliver high-quality learning experiences. Your role will be integral in ensuring pupils feel confident, motivated, and supported in their development.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.

Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and management.

Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Support children with additional needs, adapting learning approaches where necessary.

Job Requirements:

Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.

A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) is advantageous but not essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.

Ability to build rapport with pupils and support their emotional and academic needs.

Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
