Role: Supply Teacher

Location: Stockport

Pay: £130 – £230 per day

Key responsibilities of a supply teacher:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons, using the plans provided or adapting your own teaching where needed.

Create and maintain a positive, well‑organised, and calm classroom atmosphere.

Support pupils’ progress, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the school day.

Quickly establish strong relationships with both students and school staff.

Follow all school procedures, including safeguarding, behaviour policies, and general expectations.

Provide concise and helpful handover notes for the returning class teacher.

Tailor your teaching approach to suit different age groups and diverse learning needs.

Key requirements of a supply teacher:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Have recent or relevant experience working within primary school environments.

Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to adapt to new classrooms quickly.

Possess a solid understanding of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Display reliability, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude in all settings.
