North Lakes Children's Services is a well–established local provider of residential care and education for boys aged 7–18. We improve the resilience, self–esteem and abilities of all the young people we work with.

As a teacher, you will be enhancing the learning of pupils who have a wide range of special educational and learning needs. You will also be supporting the teaching staff in enabling the pupils to gain independence, participate fully in the curriculum and the general life of the school. This role will be based at Herdley Bank School.
Role Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high–quality lessons within the National Curriculum while meeting the complex SEMH needs of all pupilsSupport the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behavioursReport on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are metSupervise pupils during non–classroom time, including extra–curricular activities and school tripsBuild positive relationships with your pupil or pupils, encouraging interaction and positive learning outcomesRequirements
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Have a strong educational background to degree levelPrevious successful teaching experienceSome previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational settingExperience of using effective behaviour management techniquesBe committed to professional development and willing to learnWhat We Offer
