About the Role:We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Caretaker to join our friendly team at a vibrant primary school in Lewisham. This is a key role in ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily maintenance and upkeep of the school premises

Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, painting)

Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the site

Opening and closing the school premises

Liaising with contractors and overseeing site works

Supporting with deliveries and general site logistics

Responding to emergency maintenance issues promptlyRequirements:

Proven experience in a similar caretaker or facilities role

Strong maintenance skills and practical knowledge of building maintenance

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Enhanced DBS check (required prior to appointment)

Good communication and problem-solving skills
