PE Teacher

Location: Tameside

Start Date: Immediate start – Easter 2026

Duration: Full–time Monday to Friday 8:30am–3pm until Easter 2026, with potential to extend until the end of the academic year.

Pay: 160 to 220 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and well–regarded secondary school in Tameside is seeking a qualified PE Teacher to join their team for an immediate start. This is a full–time role teaching Physical Education up to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to continue through to the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate PE specialist who is confident delivering engaging, inclusive lessons and promoting positive attitudes towards health, fitness, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high–quality PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Plan and prepare structured and engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum

Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider school staff

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

Experience teaching PE up to KS3 and KS4

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Passion for encouraging participation, confidence, and teamwork
