Principal Education is working with Ursuline Academy Ilford to appoint a female PE Cover Supervisor / Sports Coach to join their dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sports enthusiast with a passion for inspiring young women through physical education. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging PE lessons and supervising classes in the absence of the PE teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver PE lessons and sports activities across KS3–KS4 in line with the school’s curriculum.

Supervise classes, ensuring a positive, safe, and inclusive environment.

Support students in developing fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Contribute to extra-curricular sports clubs and school sporting events.

Manage equipment and changing rooms appropriately.

Requirements:

This post is restricted to female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1) as the role involves supervision in female changing rooms.

Strong background in sports coaching, PE, or a related field.

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.

Enthusiasm for motivating and inspiring students.

Previous school or youth sports experience desirable.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
