About the Role:

The successful candidate will work primarily with Key Stage 4 students, supporting the school's pastoral and behaviour provision during a period of staff absence. The successful candidate will also work alongside the wider Behaviour and Inclusion Team to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment across the school.

We're Looking for a Dedicated Candidate to:

-Support pastoral leaders with student welfare, behaviour, attendance, and engagement strategies.

-Conduct effective 1:1 mentoring and intervention sessions with students.

-Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and staff.

-Attend and support parent meetings, review appointments, and reintegration meetings.

-Monitor student progress, attendance, punctuality, and behaviour using school systems.

-Deliver targeted interventions aimed at improving attitudes to learning and engagement.

-Maintain accurate records of meetings, interventions, and outcomes.

-Support the wider Behaviour and Inclusion Team during incidents and pastoral interventions.

-Promote high expectations, positive conduct, and a culture of aspiration across the school.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have:

-Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, mentoring, youth work, or student support role.

-Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly Key Stage 4.

-Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

-Confidence conducting 1:1 meeting with students and parents.

-The ability to remain calm and professional when managing challenging behaviour.

-Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

-A genuine passion for supporting young people and improving outcomes.
