Job Title: SEN Tutor Core Subjects (Stockport)

Location: Stockport

Pay Rate: GBP30 per hour

Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Starting After Easter Break

Our SEN tutors play a key role in supporting students with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping to close learning gaps and build confidence. You will work with learners with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and those working below expected academic levels.

We know every student learns differently, so this role offers flexibility to suit your availability while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on a young persons education.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised one-to-one Maths and English sessions tailored to SEN learners.

Adapt teaching methods, lesson pace, and resources to meet individual learning needs.

Support students in developing subject knowledge, study skills, and confidence.

Build a positive, consistent relationship to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

Track progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum of 1 years experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.

Experience working with students with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.

Right to work in the UK.

Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable Qualifications:

PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
