Outreach Tutor – Rayleigh

Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed SEND Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Rayleigh who have additional learning and behavioural needs.

In this role, you will create and deliver bespoke lessons aimed at bridging learning gaps, boosting confidence, and helping students reconnect with education. Many of the pupils you support may have been away from mainstream education for some time, so a patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver tailored one–to–one tuition sessions based on each student's individual needsProvide support in core subjects including Maths, English, and ScienceEncourage confidence, independence, and effective study habitsMonitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/carers where required

Requirements

QTS, equivalent teaching qualification, or relevant learning support experiencePrevious experience teaching or tutoring studentsStrong understanding of the PMY/SEC curriculumA genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potentialExcellent communication and organisational skills
