Outreach Tutor - Wrexham

Prospero Teaching are looking for dedicated Outreach Tutors to support learners across Wrexham!

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting tutors, teachers and mentors to provide individualised educational support to young people who may be struggling to access mainstream education.

Learners may be out of education, awaiting a school placement or accessing alternative provision. You will deliver engaging tuition while also building a positive relationship with the learner and encouraging them to re-engage with education.

Position Details:

Location: Wrexham

Position: Outreach Tutor

Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Start Date: September 2026

Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

Experience working with children or young people

Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience

Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or disengaged learners

QTS or equivalent desirable

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A patient, creative and flexible approach

To be eligible for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application

Provide two professional child-related references
