Job Title: One-to-One Support Worker

Location: Knowsley, Liverpool

Start Date: September 1st 2025

Salary: GBP105 GBP115 per day

Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

About the Role

We are seeking committed and resilient One-to-One Support Workers to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Knowsley, Liverpool. This specialist provision supports pupils aged 5 to 16, offering both primary and secondary alternative education for those who have been permanently excluded or require a more supportive environment than mainstream school can offer.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need stability, structure, and positive role models to help them reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils, as well as assistance in small group settings

Support emotional regulation, engagement, and the use of positive behaviour strategies

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activities

Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to promote progress and well-being

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months classroom experience in the UK

Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or within an alternative provision is desirable

Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure

A positive, empathetic attitude and a commitment to pupil inclusion

Eligibility

Right to work in the UK

Enhanced Child Barred List DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)

Two professional references related to childcare or education

Available to work full-time from September 1st
