* Mentor needed in Islington ASAP
Are you a passionate mentor with experience supporting young people with social, emotional, or behavioural needs?
Are you a resilient, empathetic mentor who can build trust and provide stability?
Do you have past experience mentoring children in a challenging setting?
If you answered yes to the above then this Mentor role is for you!
The Role – Mentor
We are looking for a resilient and supportive SEN Mentor to work 1:1 with a KS3 student in a PRU in Islington. The student has Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and may display challenging behaviour. Your role will involve providing emotional and academic support, helping the student manage their behaviour and re-engage with learning. Experience in mentoring, youth work or SEN support is essential.
The School – Mentor
This supportive PRU in Islington provides education for students who have been excluded from mainstream school or who require additional behavioural support. With small class sizes, a therapeutic approach, and a strong pastoral team, the school aims to provide a fresh start for every pupil. Staff receive ongoing training, and teamwork is at the heart of the school’s success. If you're a mentor ready to make a real difference, this could be the perfect opportunity.
