The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and well–planned Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Teach GCSE Mathematics and prepare students effectively for examinationsPlan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with a range of abilitiesDevelop students' confidence, mathematical reasoning, and problem–solving skillsMonitor and assess student progress and provide effective feedbackSupport students through targeted intervention and revision sessionsWork collaboratively with the wider Maths departmentMaintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progressBuild positive and professional relationships with studentsContribute to the wider life of the school throughout your placementCreate an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident developing their mathematical skills

The Ideal Candidate

We're keen to hear from Maths Teachers who:

Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualificationHave a strong subject specialism in MathematicsAre confident teaching across KS3 and KS4Have strong knowledge of the GCSE Maths curriculumHave excellent classroom management skillsAre passionate about helping students develop confidence in MathematicsCan plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging lessonsAre reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to their studentsWork effectively as part of a supportive departmentAre looking for a long–term supply opportunityECTs are very welcome to apply, with supportive schools offering mentoring and professional development.
