Aspire People are seeking a male Teaching Assistant to join the supportive team at an incredible SEMH school located in Northampton. Due to specific student care needs, this role requires a male member of staff – this constitutes a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role

You will be working with children and young people with additional needs, providing:

1:1 and small–group support

Behavioural and emotional regulation assistance

Classroom support alongside teachers

Help with daily routines and pastoral care

What we're looking for

Experience working with children or young people (school, care, SEN, or similar)

Patience, resilience, and a supportive nature

Ability to build strong, positive relationships

Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
