Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Durham (DH8)

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start: ASAP

Term-time only, via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the DH8 area who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to make a real difference in a nurturing and welcoming school environment.

Role Overview

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Work with pupils across a range of year groups

Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups

Provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Assist with classroom organisation and lesson preparation

Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment

Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements for the Role

To be considered, you must:

Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Have prior experience working within a primary school setting

Ideally have experience supporting pupils with SEN

Be confident working across different year groups

Demonstrate a calm, patient, and caring approach

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
