Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldham

Contract: Full–time, Long–term

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: Dependent on experience

TimePlan Education is recruiting an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive and forward–thinking partner secondary schools. This role is ideal for a qualified Level 3 practitioner who is confident supporting KS3 and KS4 students in and out of the classroom.

Role Overview:

You will work alongside teachers to deliver effective classroom support, provide targeted interventions and help maintain a positive learning environment. You will support a wide range of learners including those with SEND, EAL and those needing emotional or behavioural guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high–quality support within KS3/KS4 lessonsLead small–group interventions (literacy, numeracy, revision)Offer 1:1 support to pupils with additional needsAssist with planning, preparing and reviewing learning activitiesSupport behaviour management and promote positive routinesWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teamsContribute to EHCP targets and progress tracking where neededWhat we're looking for:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) requiredExperience supporting students in a secondary school settingStrong behaviour management skillsAbility to build rapport with students from diverse backgroundsConfident, proactive and able to use initiativePassionate about helping young people achieve their potentialWhat TimePlan Offers:
