Secondary School - Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Shenfield, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join its welcoming and supportive team. This Shenfield school is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
Job Overview:
This school caters for students aged 11-16.
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Learning Support Assistant role.
Provide classroom support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely alongside teaching staff.
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning, engagement and progress.
Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence and independence.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assist teachers with preparing classroom resources and adapting learning materials where required.
Work collaboratively with the SEN department, pastoral team and teaching staff to ensure every student receives the support they need.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience working with children or young people in an education, youth work, care or support setting is desirable.
A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
Experience supporting students with SEND is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy and a positive, proactive approach to supporting students.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
