SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time

We are seeking a caring, motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London. You will be supporting students aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Each pupil has an EHCP, and the school is known for its nurturing, supportive approach that helps every learner thrive both academically and personally.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am-4:00pm

Location: South London

Start Date: ASAP

We're Looking For Candidates Who…

Have previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant

Have supported children with SEN or SEMH needs

Are confident with behaviour management and delivering individualised support

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting students with SEMH needs in lessons and during wider school activities

Assisting teachers with personalised programmes and targeted interventions

Contributing to a calm, structured, and positive environment

Encouraging independence, resilience, and confidence in every pupil

Working closely with the wider team, including teachers, therapists, and families to promote holistic progress

What You Need

Previous SEN experience in a school or relevant setting

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)

Two references covering the last 24 months
