Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (EHCP Support)

Location: Cheltenham

Contract: Full-time, 2 months initially (with potential to extend)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a classroom setting. This is a full-time role based in Cheltenham, initially for a 2-month period, with the possibility of extension depending on needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with EHCPs

Support students with coursework and classroom activities

Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

Promote engagement, confidence, and positive behavior

Assist with personal care needs where required (training and guidance provided)

Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of students at all times

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND/EHCPs (preferred)

A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach

Ability to follow care plans and individual support strategies

Willingness to support with personal care when required

Strong communication and teamwork skills

GCSE in English and Maths

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
