Position: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Crookhey Hall School, Cockerham, Lancaster, LA2 0HA

Salary: GBP22,160.62 per annum ( not pro rata )

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Start date: December 2025

About the Role

Crookhey Hall School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers in delivering high-quality education to small groups. LSAs play a vital role in classroom support, behaviour management, and helping pupils access a broad and balanced curriculum.

What You'll Do

Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to help them engage and succeed in lessonsAssist teachers across a range of subjects and classroom activitiesPrepare engaging resources and displays to enhance learningPromote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and self-esteemSupervise and support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and transitionsHelp maintain a purposeful, inclusive, and inspiring learning environmentAttend training and staff meetings to share ideas and grow your skillsWhat We're Looking For

You'll be someone who is:

Passionate about helping young people achieve their potentialPatient, resilient, and calm under pressureA strong communicator and team playerAdaptable, positive, and ready to learnIn possession of a full UK driving licenceEssential:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above)Basic IT skills and confidence using digital toolsHigh expectations of pupil behaviour and achievementDesirable:

You'll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit
