We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN school. You will be working with pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 5, supporting their academic, emotional, and personal development.

The Role – Learning Support Assistant As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will include:

Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis

Working with students with a range of special educational needs, including:

ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)

ADHD

SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs)

PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)

Assisting with personal care tasks when required

Creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver high-quality SEN support

Requirements – Learning Support Assistant To be considered for this role, you should have:

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

A degree or relevant childcare/education qualification (desirable)

Previous experience working with children with SEN, especially ASC or PMLD (desirable)

A calm, patient, and nurturing personality

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to learning

Willingness to support with personal care needs
