Part Time - Learning Support Assistant - 1:1 Support (Reception) - Redhill

Academics are working with a welcoming primary school in Redhill who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child starting in Reception. This part-time role is perfect for someone who is patient, vigilant, and passionate about supporting children in their early learning journey.

Role Details:

Position: Learning Support Assistant (1:1)

Location: Redhill

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday mornings (9.00am - 11.00am)

Contract: Part-time, term-time only

Student: Reception age, with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

About the Child:

The student is lively, curious, and enjoys exploring. They are a "wanderer" with potential flight risk, so close supervision is required. The child is not violent, but needs calm and consistent 1:1 support to remain engaged and safe during class activities.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 classroom support in line with the child's EHCP.

Support participation in play and learning tasks.

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo.

Encourage independence and positive behaviour.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant desirable.

Strong understanding of working with children with additional needs.
